iPhone or Android
iPhone
The MP3 you download here is not a ringtone yet. iOS only accepts M4R, so the last step happens in GarageBand on the phone: open the file, share it to GarageBand, then export it as a ringtone. Apple's own app does the conversion.
Android
No extra app needed. Download the MP3, then pick it in Settings → Sound & vibration → Phone ringtone. Android accepts MP3 directly, so the clip you cut is the ringtone.
Android (.mp3)
Android phones take plain MP3 files as ringtones. Choose a bitrate (192 kbps is a good default), press Download MP3, then move the file into your phone's Ringtones folder.
On most Android builds you can also open the downloaded file, choose Set as, and pick Phone ringtone. The file is already on your device, nothing is fetched from a server.
Ringtone FAQ
How long can a ringtone be?
iPhone ringtones must be 40 seconds or shorter. We warn you if your selection is longer.
Do I need iTunes?
No. On macOS you can drag the .m4r into Finder. On Windows, use iMazing or the Files app.
Will the ringtone work on Android?
Yes. Download the 40-second MP3, then open Settings, Sound and vibration, Phone ringtone, and pick the file. Android plays MP3 ringtones directly, no conversion needed.
Why 40 seconds?
That is the limit Apple puts on a ringtone. Android would accept a longer clip, but a 40-second file works on both, so the tool exports one length for everything.
Is my song uploaded anywhere?
No. The audio is decoded and trimmed inside the browser tab and never leaves your device. There is no upload step and no server that receives audio.
